At Ashwood Park we welcome children to our Reception classes from both our onsite nursery and other settings. We know that starting Reception is a big milestone for both children and parents and we aim to make the transition into full time education as smooth as possible. We have a wonderful learning environment both inside and outside with nurturing adults, child initiated learning and adult led planning.

In Reception we have 45 places available spread over two classes. School begins at 8.50 and ends at 3.15. Reception is divided into two classrooms with a joining area, toilets and Reception outdoor space.  We also have access to our Forest school area where the children can play and learn in a woodland environment.
